Kanpai

A stylish new Japanese restaurant has just opened on Grindlay Street in the centre of Edinburgh. A new venture from the people behind the excellent but tiny Sushiya at Haymarket. The attention to detail in the interior design of Kanpai is outstanding and if the food is as delicious as it is at Sushiya then this promises to be my new favourite restaurant.
